Mateo’s birthday is in two weeks. My parents are excited to celebrate his dol or first birthday with a Korean celebration.

P.S. Mateo is not walking yet. He can stand un-assisted, and has taken a couple of steps.

Mateo should be taking his first steps any day now! He stands up on his own for pretty long stretches and uses his little walker toy pretty well. He also learned how to go down the stairs on his own (he has been going up for more than a month). As of this week, he now has 6 teeth!

Mato got his first haircut on Oct 17. He didn’t like it one bit, but he looks super cute!

And for Halloween, he was a dragon!

Mateo is suddenly huge. He sprouted 4 teeth in 3 weeks and has started climbing everything. Time to baby-proof.

Mateo crawls really well now. He can go up a couple of stairs and is quite mobile and fast. We are debating getting gates for the doors and stairs.

His third tooth broke through after a painful week of teething. And he started doing this:

Mateo is finishing up his 7th month. Its been a really busy time. He crawls really well now and has just started to climb stairs. He can pull to standing and is starting to cruise around. He also has moved on from purees to blueberries, bread and rice! He has outgrown all of his 9 month clothing and is now in 12 month clothes.

Mateo started crawling! His crawl looks like a frog swimming right now, but he is getting good at it. Will post a video of it soon.

We sometimes need to be very careful with Matilda because she will sometimes attack Mateo out of the blue. Our client, Karen Deerwester, parenting expert, advised us to remove her from the situation rather than to make a big scene and punish her. Punishing her actually rewards the bad behavior because she wants attention.

Mateo got his first stamp in his passport. We went to Spain to meet all the family (and do some business).

Mateo was as always a model baby, he barely cried and was really well behaved on the plane!

In Spain, Mateo tried out a swimming pool for the first time and had his first taste of Jamon!
