Mato got his first haircut on Oct 17. He didn’t like it one bit, but he looks super cute!

And for Halloween, he was a dragon!

Mateo is finishing up his 7th month. Its been a really busy time. He crawls really well now and has just started to climb stairs. He can pull to standing and is starting to cruise around. He also has moved on from purees to blueberries, bread and rice! He has outgrown all of his 9 month clothing and is now in 12 month clothes.

We sometimes need to be very careful with Matilda because she will sometimes attack Mateo out of the blue. Our client, Karen Deerwester, parenting expert, advised us to remove her from the situation rather than to make a big scene and punish her. Punishing her actually rewards the bad behavior because she wants attention.

Here is pic of Mateo with scratch marks around his eyes. He is doing fine now. And as you can see, he keeps smiling no matter what!

My mother doesn’t approve of rice cereal. She makes her own food for Mateo with a combination of white and brown rice and some beans. He loves it.

That’s Dalton

Mateo turned 100 days old on April 12. As we did for Matilda, we had a 100 day old party (baek il) including a cake made of rice (dduk). We were so happy to be able to celebrate the party with los abuelitos as well. Abuelito Jaime made a paella and tortillas patatas.

He is growing so fast! He started smiling and laughing. Its so cute. I will try to post a video of it soon.

Not only can Mateo hold up his head, but he can also support his weight with his legs!

Pablo and I often look at Mateo and puzzle over how white his skin is!

We also took him to the doctor. He now weighs 11lbs, 12 oz and is 22 3/4″ long!
