3cm

Last Thursday, we got some alarming news at our regular OB checkup. The baby was breech (feet down), and the doctor was also concerned that the baby was very large. She made me come back today for a followup. I am glad to report that the baby is head down and in birthing position AND I am 3cm dilated. Yikes!

I managed to avoid going for a sonogram to have the baby actually measured. Its not a good thing to have on record that you have a “large baby”. First, you don’t want to get psyched out that you can’t deliver the baby and secondly, you don’t want the doctor freaking out that you can’t deliver the baby. So I am glad to be in the dark.

She says I wont make it until the end of the week. Post your predictions of date/weight below!

Cool! A Christmas baby!I’m going to say 9lbs 2oz, 20 inches long. What’s with you and having these babies in snowstorms! I know you’ll do great. Good luck and we’ll be keeping you all in our thoughts!

Merry Christmas! I keep thinking that it will be January 3, but perhaps that’s power of suggestion ’cause you mentioned 3 cm dilated. So I’m going to stick with the “3″ theme and say the 30th of January. Can you all hold out that long? And also — what is it with the Aguero/Lee offspring and snow?!?! Will you never have a baby without lots of cold precipitation?
